SpookyFest, LA’s newest festival dedicated to the supernatural, the spectacular, and the sensational creeps into Hollywood this month! Join us at the new Hobgoblin Playhouse from October 23rd through November 2nd for a spine-tingling celebration of horror, the supernatural, and all things delightfully dark.
Whether you’re a die-hard horror aficionado or simply up for a thrilling night out, come explore our lineup of haunting Shakespearian performances, frightening films, chilling comedy, and an immersive experience that will have you looking over your shoulder (in the best way). Don your mask, bring your ghoul-troop, and prepare for a festival filled with screams and celebration right in the heart of Hollywood’s Sunset Junction.
Macbeth in 60 Minutes
A whirlwind 60 minute version of Shakespeare’s classic Scottish Play. Watch as this general spurred by his ambitious wife murders the king, Duncan, and all that get in his way to become king himself. Tales of the Ancient East
𓁵 Sit back and allow yourself to be transported back to an ancient time of biblical & mythological epics with Antony Zioni’s fantastical musical journey Tales of The Ancient East
𓂉 A dark figure has been freed from the underworld by archeologists who have unwittingly discovered the preserved Parchment of Death
𓋑 The ancient shamanic teller breathes life into the buried stories of the past as he takes audiences on a ride through the very sands of time.
The trip begins with the Creation Myth, Genesis (בראשית), the witted serpent and the forbidden tree of knowledge, and into the tale of queen Cleopatra the 7th, the last Pharaoh of ancient Egypt. From there, learn about the biblical tale of Exodus and the 10 plagues upon Egypt, and conclude with the crucifixion of Christ and the beasts named the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, with the Angel of Death galloping into the Last Days.

Don’t miss our three spooky screening sessions during the ten-day long festival. Group 1 and Group 2 will be the initial screenings for the Official Selections (five films in each line-up). Group 3 will be made up of the two Audience Choice winners from nights one and two, two Judges’ Selections (one from each night), and the Wild Card Award winner.

Screening Sunday, October 26th @ 7:30pm
Bathroom Spider (3:12) – When a callous jerk breaks a young woman’s heart, she turns to her resident bathroom spider for advice – with horrifying results.
Deadline (5:18) – When a young woman is called into work on the weekend, it does more than just kill her plans.
Girl to Girl (11:01) – A young woman is stalked.
Grayson’s Yard (12:03) – Fresh off a breakup, Grayson hosts a celebratory barbecue on a beautiful, sunny day. But a final word of warning from his recently made ex-girlfriend has left him more paranoid than pleased.
One Who Watches (6:18) – In a unique and perplexing situation, a man turns to an AI chatbot for help. While the chatbot attempts to assist him within its limitations and privacy constraints, their conversation takes a dark turn when the man mentions a suspected murder in the neighboring apartment. As the discussion deepens, the chat reveals a more serious and alarming threat, transforming the encounter into a tense and suspenseful ordeal.
Plus a very special screening of Shelter (23:51) – A group of friends frantically try to escape an abandoned fallout shelter when they make the terrifying discovery that they’re not alone.

Blueprint (15:45) – In desperation to attend the biggest Halloween party of the year, Michael agrees to become their photographer. Hopefully nothing gets in his way…
CALLIOPE (7:06) – Taking place deep inside the mind of a shut-in NEET, the muse must travel through layers of the man’s psyche hoping to discover the root cause of his despair.
Mike Has a Visitor (14:00) – A man suffering from sleep paralysis, begins to downward spiral when his haunting nightmares begin to seep into his real life.
SPIN (7:23) – A group of kidnapped strangers try to escape a deadly game of Spin the Bottle.
Group 3

Group 3 will be made up of the two Audience Choice winners from nights one and two, two Judges’ Selections (one from each night), and the Wild Card Award winner. Lineup will be revealed in full on Tuesday, October 28th.
