Happy New Year, everyone! We hope your 2024’s off to a great start.
This Week @ The StageCrafts, our spaces are already jumping with rehearsals and workshops booked across all of our rooms every night this week as people prepare their first productions and events of the new year.
Speaking of our rooms, I took advantage of the period of calm between Christmas and New Years’ and re-did our venue pages for studio/stage, Howard Fine Acting Studio, and The Madnani Theater! One of our first productions for 2024 is the return of Prince Harry: LIVE! At Coachella, perhaps the sleeper hit musical of the 2023 Hollywood Fringe Festival!
Prince Harry: Live! At Coachella is an original, one-person musical exploration of the mind of Prince Harry, still fifth-in-line to the British throne. After he moved to California, he filmed an interview with Oprah and had a Netflix docuseries. What’s next, you might ask? He’s a pop star, duh! He’s at Coachella and he’s musicalized key moments from his best-selling memoir Spare. After years of having to let others write the soundtrack to his life, he’s pushing back and taking reign. By airing out his family drama through catchy pop tunes, can he break free from the endless traditions he’s been tethered to and become the person he’s always meant to be? Come and find out!

Announcing our 2024 Hollywood Fringe Festival Venue Partnerships!
Speaking of the Hollywood Fringe, we’ve got some big news! In addition to The Madnani Theater, we’re thrilled to announce two of our 2024 Hollywood Fringe Venue Partnerships!
This year we’ll once again be partnering with Javista Coffee Hollywood and The Matrix Theatre as their official bookers for this year’s festival! Take a look at the brand-new video tours for Javista and the super-unique Henry Murry Stage at The Matrix!
Javista Coffee Hollywood is a 2024 Hollywood Fringe Festival Venue
The House at Javista Coffee Hollywood
One of the most exciting new venues for #HFF24, Javista Coffee is a large coffee shop with a cabaret stage! Available primarily on weekends, the shop will be open during shows to provide your patrons with caffeine and snacks!
With seating for up to 60 people, Javista Coffee is a large venue with plenty of space for your patrons and cabaret-style table seating. Its simple tech is perfect for storytelling shows, power point presentations, musical acts, stand-up comedy, magic shows, podcasts, workshops, and other atypical Fringe fare!

The Matrix Theatre and The Henry Murry Stage at The Matrix are 2024 Hollywood Fringe Festival Venues
An angle on The Henry Murry Stage at The Matrix Theatre on Melrose
The Matrix is a legendary space in Los Angeles theatre history and has been the home of many famous productions over its 54 years of operation. Located on Melrose Ave, it is walking distance to numerous bars, restaurants and a Starbucks, and is surrounded by ample street parking. Currently, the Matrix is the home of Rogue Machine, one of the top theatre companies in LA.
Since beginning its residency, Rogue Machine has added a second smaller performance space upstairs, The Henry Murray Stage, which is also available to book for Fringe.
The Main Stage will have limited availability this year due to a large production running May-June, but the space will be available to Fringe productions on dark nights. The Main Stage is a 90-seat proscenium theater with a generous thrust (stage is 22’ deep x 34 1/2’ wide), perfect for larger-scale productions such as musicals and large-cast plays, and it is equipped with a number of high-end LED lighting fixtures, a HD projector, and a booming sound system.
The Henry Murray Stage is a wonderfully unique and intimate playing space (the whole room is 25′ × 15′) which can accommodate an audience of up to 30. Seating is spread throughout the space, creating a playing area that truly immerses the audience in the action. Perfect for solo shows, two-handers and small cast shows that really want their audiences to feel like they’re inside the reality of the show. Seating can be reconfigured for more presentational-style events, such as close-up magic or comedy shows.
Please note that The Henry Murray Stage is only accessible via stairs.
